Janet has been a serious practitioner of yoga for eight years, and has been certified through the IYC (International Yoga College) for three. She completed her teacher training at the 7-centers School of Yoga Arts in Sedona, AZ with her teacher Ruth Hartung, the president of the IYC. Her certification follows the lineage of Swami Satyananda at the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger, India: the first university for advanced studies in yogic sciences. She has had the opportunity to study with great teachers in the West, as well as in various European countries. Janet has experience in many different branches of yoga: hatha, vinyasa, astanga, iyengar, restorative, bikram, bhakti, jivan mukti, chakra, and kundalini. She has studied each branch carefully and applies them together in her teaching.
