I incorporate directed breathing, releasing a pose, and guided imagery throughout my classes. Each class is accompanied by lively music, and poses are flowingly choreographed. Students are asked to go through poses again, to verify their `movement memory` of their sequences for maximum home practice. Meditation is focused on the mantra method, but breath is used too. Parnayamas are varied, and some Pratyahara is introduced. Handouts are given in many classes, and basic massage and healing approaches are taught as well. Students sometimes receive a short neck and shoulder massage at their savasana. A book: Pictures of Health to Breathe and Move With is forthcoming with short stress relieving breath and movement practices derived from my massage and yoga practice.
