Yogacharya Sri. N.Vijayaraghavan, after completing his graduation in commerce from the calicut university,,served in the Health Service Department of the Govt. of Kerala for about 21 years, He completed his Yoga Teachers Training and Kriya Yoga course from Bihar School of Yoga under the direct dicipleship of H.H.Swami Satyananda Saraswathi during 1983. After this, he completed the Yoga Certificate course form National Institute of Sports Pattyala and Yoga Therapist course form Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation, Bangalore. He received his P.HD. in yoga philosophy from the Medicina Alternativa Institute, Colombo which is Affiliated to the Open International University for Complementary Medicines.
He Started rendering General Yoga Classes and Yoga Therapy in India and abroad from 1983 onwards. ·He also Conducted several Yoga therapy camps exclusively for Bronchial Asthma, Diabetes Mellitus, Lower back ache, I.H.D., Vision problems etc. ·and presented a scientific paper on bronchial asthma and yoga at 5th International Holistic congress. ·Sri. vijayaraghavan attended 4 International Yoga Conferences. He is a proficient Pranic Healer, Traditional Reiki Master and a Hypnotherapist.
He was bestowed with various awards such as Mangalath Prabhavati Award of Navjeevan Holistic Alternative Medical Research Institute, Meritorious Service Award 2001 of the Lions Club, calicut chapter, Pithruka Ratna Award of the National Institute of Scientific Heritage.
The renowned Satyananda Yoga Research Centre was founded by his Directorship dueing the year 1983. More than 5 lakshs of people of various walks of life from inland and abroad received yoga training from this organisation.This is the only Yoga Centre in Kerala State which is affiliatted to the INternational Yoga Fellowship movement. This centre was also selected to conducted yoga training and yoga therapy at Kottakkal Aryavaidia sala and other renowned Hospitals and Medical Centres. Hundreds of yoga teachers who had completed yoga teacher’s training coourse from this centre are conducting yoga classes at various parts of the world.
