I spent three years in Oriental Medicine School studying: Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Chinese Medical Language, Biomedicine and Western Medical referral, in addition to three years in clinic at: SIOM, Consejo Counseling Center and the Asian Counseling Resource Center. After graduation I studied the ancient Hawaiian Moving Meditation called “flying,” which is the dance of Lomi-Lomi healers. I also spent four months living with and learning from a Maya Midwife in the Yucatan, Mexico. While there, I began to learn her art of Maya Uterine Massage and quite unexpectedly, taught her how to incorporate the tradition of Acupuncture into labor and birthing. I have taken many post-graduation courses focusing on Gynecology and Dermatology from a Chinese perspective and have also studied with wonderful teachers in the eclectic and ever changing world of deep vibrational sound healings.
